Summer of 2016 Team Rubicon USA, Case Equipment, Blight Busters Detroit, and over 100 veterans and volunteers came together in Detroit for Department of Interior and TR certifications in ICS volunteer management, Chain Saw safety and Heavy Equipment Operations and Debris removal.
This project lasted a week with over $250,000 in debris removal costs avoided by using nationally certified training programs in stead of a paid contractor.
With our Veterans Green Village Training Program we intend to duplicate this training and community service model full time with veterans, first responders and community service volunteers who are willing to become certified and operational within the ICS Framework of national disaster response.

MISSION
The mission of United Peace Relief is to respond to disasters with conventional and alternative medical and humanitarian relief. Disaster relief can be hurricane, storm surge, drought, fire, pestilence, explosion, building collapse, transportation accident or any other situation that causes human suffering or creates human needs that the victims cannot alleviate without assistance.
Our goal is to provide volunteers which are able to give immediate and ongoing support to victims of disaster, to collaborate with other relief organizations, and to affect fundamental change through grassroots community development. We are united in our commitment to promote peace and nonviolence in ourselves and in the world.
